The Focus

Fundamental racing and efficiency skills in a fun environment.

Entry Level

Skills You Need

  • Minimum Requirement: Completion of Stage 10 swimming.
  • Stroke Proficiency: Solid understanding of Freestyle, Backstroke, and Breaststroke; basic understanding of Butterfly.

What Training Looks Like

  • Distance: Approximately 1,500m per session.
  • The Vibe: High-energy sessions using drills, sprints, and team games.
  • Equipment Play: Extensive use of fins, kickboards, pull buoys, and noodles to build strength.

Performance Program

The Focus

Advanced technical skills with a focus on aerobic capacity and pushing for State Championship competitions.

Intermediate

Skills You Need

  • Age: 11+ Years or Coach's discretion.
  • Requirements: No current State Qualifying times required to join.
  • Commitment: Recommended 3–4 sessions per week.

What Training Looks Like

  • Distance: Focused, productive sessions covering 2,000m – 2,500m.
  • The Vibe: A welcoming environment for 14-year-olds that is more serious than Development but still concludes with team-building and games.
  • Performance Drills: Heavy focus on racing technique, dives, and regular timed time trials.
  • Equipment Play: Strategic use of fins, kickboards, pull buoys, and noodles to refine performance.
